Megaloceros giganteus
Jaw Bone and Teeth
Recovered from the River Mas, Holland.
This sample is 7.5 inches long and about 1 5/8 inches wide
above the teeth.
Each tooth is 7/8 inches long 1/2 inch deep and 5/8 inch
thick.
This sample was examined by the following naturalists
and biologists to determine the age of the animal at the time of death:
(Data is based on the condition of the teeth as related
to modern deer and elk species)
